Family Nurse Practitioner
Location: Selma, Alabama. MainStreet Family Care is looking for a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our full‑time team.
You will provide patient‑focused care in urgent, primary medical, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The role supports newly graduated practitioners and experienced staff alike.
Responsibilities
Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
Suturing and splinting
General orthopedic evaluations and management
Review x‑rays for over‑read by radiologist
Provide general dermatology, eye problem care, and EKG interpretations
Emergency management skills
Offer general gynecology expertise
Treat children of all ages
Occupational medicine and telemedicine services
Schedule Clinic hours: Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday/Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The FNP works a rotating schedule, alternating on‑call weekends.
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday ON; Wednesday, Thursday OFF
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday ON; Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday OFF
Qualifications
Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required
MSN or higher education (new graduates welcome)
DOT certification or willingness to obtain it
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite preferred
