Exciting Full‑Time Physician Assistant Opportunity in Athens, GA!
MainStreet Family Care is growing and we are looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team full time. You will provide patient‑focused care in a high‑volume urgent care environment.
Responsibilities
Diagnosing and treating upper respiratory illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other respiratory issues.
Performing minor procedures including toenail removal and foreign‑object removal.
Suturing, splinting, and general orthopedic evaluations/management.
Reviewing x‑rays (with radiologist over‑reading).
Providing general dermatology, eye problem, and EKG interpretation services.
Managing emergencies and utilizing general gynecologic expertise.
Treating patients of all ages, including occupational medicine and telemedicine support.
Schedule Clinic Hours (extended, 7‑days a week):
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Rotating schedules (alternating weekends):
Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON).
Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).
Qualifications
Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
MSN or higher education; new graduates are welcome.
DOT certification or willingness to become DOT certified (cost covered).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite.
