This entry level position is responsible for processing all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service. The associate must safeguard patient privacy, ensuring compliance with request, authorization, company policy, and HIPAA regulations.

Position Highlights

Full‑Time: Monday‑Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST

Location: Raleigh, NC

Comfortable working in a high‑volume production environment

Documenting information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors

You Will

Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.

Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.

Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software.

Adhere to the Company’s and Customer facilities Code of Conduct and policies.

Inform manager of work site difficulties and/or fluctuating volumes.

Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as demonstrated or required.

Apply medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure.

Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.

Prepare new patient charts, gathering documents from paper sources and/or electronic health record.

Assemble medical records in standard order, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Create digital images of paperwork to be stored in the electronic medical record.

Respond to requests for patient records both within the facility and by external sources, retrieving and transmitting appropriately.

Answer inbound and outbound calls.

May assist with patient walk‑ins and administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail and data entry.

Meet productivity expectations as outlined at specific site.

May schedule pick‑ups.

Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring To The Table

High School Diploma or GED.

Ability to commute between locations as needed.

Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons.

Basic computer proficiency.

Comfortable with phones, fax machine, printers and other general office equipment.

Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.

Detail‑oriented and quality‑focused in medical record processing.

Strong data entry skills.

Ability to work with minimum supervision, responding to changing priorities.

Organize and manage multiple tasks.

Respond quickly in a fast‑paced environment.

Bonus Points If

Experience in a healthcare environment.

Previous production or metric‑based work experience.

In‑person customer service experience.

Ability to build relationships with on‑site clients and customers.

Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders.
