Customer Service Specialist / Optician
JINS Eyewear is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to become a core member of our store in Del Amo Mall, Torrance, CA.
About Us Founded in 2001, JINS is a Japan‑based eyeglass retailer that has become a leader in the domestic eyewear industry and has expanded internationally to over 800 stores worldwide.
Position Summary Location: Del Amo Mall, Torrance, CA Start date: Immediate Employment type: Full‑time Pay: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour Work location: In person
Essential Functions
Ensure customer happiness with stellar customer service and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
Address customer needs in a prompt and friendly manner while actively seeking to understand their concerns, requests, and expectations.
Handle customer complaints regarding products, services, sales, or other matters with honesty and integrity, taking initiative to find appropriate resolutions.
Ensure speed, efficiency, and accuracy in creating eyewear products.
Foster a warm, vibrant, and friendly atmosphere as a supportive and compassionate team member.
Actively participate in store staff meetings to improve customer service, store operations, and sales goals.
Provide appropriate training and support to less experienced team members and lead by example.
Adjust, fit, and assemble eyeglasses to suit each customer's unique preferences.
Build team commitment to high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations, and lead by example.
Conduct eye exams efficiently, accurately, and with attention to detail.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
ABO Certification preferred.
One year of retail experience.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and open/close the store as needed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong relationship‑building abilities.
Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to remain on your feet most of the day, moving on the sales floor or stock room.
