Contract & Schedule Details
Assignment Length: 13-week contract
Shift: Overnight 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Holiday Coverage: Required
Number of Openings: 1
Key Responsibilities
Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and prepare surgical instruments for sterilization
Transport soiled and sterile instruments to and from operating room areas
Follow hospital policies, procedures, and sterile processing best practices
Maintain competency in sterile processing workflows and equipment use
Communicate effectively with coworkers, charge technicians, supervisors, and leadership
Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years sterile processing experience
Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards and procedures
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Certifications
BLS (Basic Life Support) required within three months of hire
CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician) encouraged within 18 months of hire
Licensure
State license not required
Additional Information
Orientation may be provided prior to assignment
Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
