Position Overview We’re seeking experienced
Cardiac Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurses (CPCU RNs)
for a day‑shift contract assignment. Under the supervision of nursing leadership, the RN provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with state nursing regulations and organizational policies. Clinical leadership and charge nurse support are provided during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a cardiac progressive care setting.
Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and intermediate‑level cardiac care.
Perform patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Accurately document patient care using the electronic medical record.
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards.
Required Qualifications
Active state RN license (must be current).
Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
Telemetry or progressive care experience preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Education
Associate or Diploma in Nursing required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certifications
BLS/BCLS required.
ACLS required (within 30 days of assignment start, per facility policy).
Equipment & Systems
EPIC electronic medical record (EMR).
Additional Information
Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to local rate considerations.
Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid.
Facility may cancel up to three (3) shifts per 13‑week contract.
Bilingual skills not required.
