Job Title
Registered Nurse – Evening Shift Supervisor (3:00pm – 11:00pm) – $10,000 Sign‑On Bonus
Location:
The Manor at Blue Water Bay, Niceville, FL.
Job Overview Responsible for 3pm‑11pm oversight of a 120‑bed unit, including admissions, discharges, appointments, coordination of care with families and other providers. Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and PCAs.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all staff are assigned duties.
Conduct rounds on each wing with focus on high‑acuity patients.
Monitor care to ensure policies are followed and notify doctors and families of patient status changes.
Assist with medication administration, IV fluids, and treatments as needed.
Assist in recruiting, hiring, and orienting new staff.
Maintain patient dignity and safety, and assist patients toward the highest level of self‑care possible.
Assist physicians during rounds.
Conduct performance evaluations of LPNs twice per year.
Adjust staff schedule for absences, illness, and coordinate additional help.
Carry out disciplinary actions according to personnel policy.
Maintain premises security and direct unauthorized persons away.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Relieve other shifts if needed.
Be willing to perform duties as a CNA when required.
Qualifications
Health: Ability to meet performance requirements.
Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
Licensed to practice in Florida.
Participate in continuing education to maintain knowledge and license.
Professional training: Ability to learn, absorb, and apply; follow doctor’s orders; keep records appropriately.
Ability to perceive changes in patient behavior, recognize symptoms, and communicate effectively in writing, by telephone, and in person.
Organizational skills; assume responsibility; supervise others tactfully.
Special interest in geriatric nursing.
