Clinical Supervisor – Primary Care – Physician Practice
Hackensack Meridian Health invites applications for the Clinical Supervisor – Primary Care – Physician Practice. In this role, you will provide coverage and support under the direction of the practice manager and physicians to ensure smooth patient flow and physician satisfaction, assist with practice operations and business functions, and serve as a liaison between the practice and administration.
Responsibilities
Oversee clinical team, assist physicians in coordinating patient care, referrals, and ancillary facilities.
Serve as liaison between Practice Administrator, providers, and team members.
Proactively initiate phone calls to ensure patients receive necessary information and respond to calls in accordance with office protocol and HIPAA guidelines.
Set up examination rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are available.
Maintain safe, efficient clinical operations while providing excellent service.
Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
Follow POL Policy Manual for medical waste and hazardous materials handling.
Maintain a hazard‑free clinical environment and report hazards to the practice manager.
Handle medication refrigerator and freezer temperature monitoring.
Ensure patients do not access syringes, needles, or drugs in violation of office protocols.
Lead by example in greeting visitors, vendors, team members, and physicians professionally.
Process accounts payable, perform daily deposits, monitor physician performance, generate monthly reports, and provide feedback to improve efficiencies.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Required Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a physician office.
Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, flexibility, organization, and positive attitude.
Licensed practical nurse or NJ state professional registered nurse license or relevant certified medical assistant qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum four (4) years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related health field.
Prior supervisory experience.
Compensation & Benefits The starting minimum base pay is $36,293.40 annually, with additional incentives and benefits that may be offered based on experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
