Overall Job Summary
The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in executing operational, sales, and merchandising objectives while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The role promotes a safe, productive work environment for team members, customers, and vendors and trains team members on applicable policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain regular, predictable attendance. Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required. Enforce policies and procedures to uphold a safe work environment. Provide Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, and Add Value. Execute merchandising activities, opening/closing procedures, bank deposits, and daily workflow prioritization. Perform regular and promotional price changes, resolve customer complaints, and adhere to loss prevention standards. Operate cash register/computer and supervise cash handling procedures. Assist in training and policy application for team members. Sanitize and maintain poultry tanks when required. Operate forklift and baler. Complete required documentation and obtain necessary licenses or certifications. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Experience: Retail and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred; supervisory experience preferred. Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver’s license. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Literacy, writing, and counting skills are mandatory. Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution. Ability to perform and execute principle responsibilities of team members. Read, write, and count accurately. Working Conditions
Indoor environment with moderate noise. Shifts typically 4–8+ hours, varying by store. Indoor floors and outdoor lots hard surfaces. Adherence to safety training and guidelines. Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather. Physical Requirements
Move and transfer merchandise up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 2,000 pounds with equipment. Occasionally lift or reach overhead. Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders. Move throughout the store for an entire shift. Operate equipment such as dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register. Read, write, and count accurately for documentation. Communicate effectively with team members and customers. Process information/merchandise through the POS system. Handle poultry contact when required. Complete required training and certifications. Travel as required. Drive or operate a vehicle for business needs. This position is non-sedentary. Disclaimer
