Overnight Receiving Supervisor

Purpose The Overnight Receiving Supervisor directs and oversees warehouse operations at each store, supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, and managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.
Pay Range $18.25 - $25.75
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
1-3 years of previous supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center.
Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating, and follow‑up skills.
Ability to work with and maintain effective relationships with other departments.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Competence in basic mathematical calculations.
Strong computer skills with Windows‑based systems.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet established deadlines.
Availability for extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
Essential Functions
Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving.
Direct day‑to‑day activities: shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control.
Manage Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
Maintain warehouse equipment, implement preventive maintenance, and report repairs.
Ensure safety programs and compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures.
Oversee progressive disciplinary processes.
Handle employee inquiries and solve problems.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient operations.
Complete activity reports for management.
Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist.
Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP.
Stage and store products properly and rotate inventories.
Perform other related duties as directed by management.
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)
Warehouse environment with moving vehicles.
Noise level typically moderate to noisy.
Physical/Sensory Requirements Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally or 20–30 pounds frequently, lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects; stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required. Hands and fingers frequently used for handling.
Store Hours Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM Saturday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Sunday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pickup Hours Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Sunday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
