Warehouse Supervisor - Last Mile

Shift
Shift hours: Early Morning
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
Hours: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Compensation $50 - $55k yearly
The Opportunity We are looking for a Supervisor to join our team and be part of something great. This position offers a competitive salary, bonus potential, and a benefit package after 30 days. The final step before taking over your own site, you will represent Capstone with our Partners, manage day‑to‑day activities with associates, and ensure safety and productivity remain the focus. You may run portions of the business or an entire shift, and train new hires while creating a team‑centric environment.
Daily Responsibilities
Negotiation of rates with common carrier representatives
Running site with safety and efficiency as priorities
Writing and balancing daily bank deposits & creating daily work logs for corporate
Audit of daily labor and billing reports
Ensuring customer needs are met daily
Documenting and resolving any customer service or associate issues daily
Ensuring all associates follow Capstone policies and work rules including safety work rules
Holding weekly safety meetings and ensuring associate participation
Assisting in managing site and departmental budget
Scheduling associate shifts based on customer requirements
Interviewing, hiring, and training new associates
Supervising timely and accurate data entry for all services performed
Completing daily closeout, including cash balancing, data upload, and payroll record administration per Capstone policy and SOP
Qualifications
2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in an industrial setting
Proven experience providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers
Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with strong organization and prioritizing skills
Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment
Financial acumen: manage budgets, read and interpret P&L statements, prepare related management reports
Intermediate PC skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed
Ability to work in a warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Education And/or Experience
Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Third‑Party experience preferred
BS/BA Degree or Associate Degree with equivalent experience is a plus but not required
Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and customer service skills
Decision‑making, problem‑solving, prioritizing, and directing workforce skills in a changing warehouse environment
Proven track record in supervising warehouse employees: hiring, training, and termination
Experience managing budgets and creating & maintaining management reports
Intermediate computer experience, especially with Microsoft products
Excellent aptitude in estimating rates and mental calculations while multitasking
