Quality Control Supervisor
The Quality Control Supervisor leads the QC team, oversees lab operations, and ensures that products meet quality standards. This role resolves testing issues, coordinates lab projects and supplies, and steps in as a QC Technician when needed.
Responsibilities
Supervise QC Technicians, including training, scheduling, performance, and task assignments.
Ensure the team follows quality standards for raw materials and finished products.
Oversee QC testing and documentation for incoming materials and finished goods.
Manage daily lab activities: problem‑solving, sign‑offs, supplies, projects, communications, training, meetings, ISO/customer complaints.
Handle return authorizations and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
Perform QC tests when needed due to staffing shortages.
Find ways to use slow‑moving inventory and implement solutions.
Lead data analysis and measurement projects as assigned.
Ensure cross‑training for all lab processes.
Maintain lab organization and housekeeping.
Drive process improvements in QC.
Qualifications
Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention to detail skills.
Experience with process improvement.
Excellent communication skills for technical data and recommendations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Quality control, Chemistry, Laboratory, GMP, Quality assurance.
Skills in QC.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wharton, NJ.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $50.00/hr.
