Job Description Schedule: Full Time.

Shift: Days.

Location: 600 Courtland Street, Orlando, FL 32804.

Serves as a resource for clinical inquiry process, including identification of potential projects, and/or subject matter expertise.

Demonstrates a “spirit of inquiry” to support professional curiosity including research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives using the organization’s preferred structure, i.e. PDSA (plan, do, study, act).

Disseminates evidence-based practice findings through educational programs, courses, and other activities. Other duties as assigned.

Creates, plans, implements, and coordinates orientation for individuals new to the nursing unit/department using the ANPD standards of practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation with the NPD Practice model using inputs, throughputs, and outcomes to ensure a systematic approach to onboarding orientation.

Adjusts implementation strategies as needed based on the learner’s developmental level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn, language, and cultural preferences.

Engages learners in planned educational activities through use of effective facilitation skills.

NPD Practitioner may assist others in their professional role development, practice role transitions, and succession planning. Supports the preceptor program and provides support at the unit level to the preceptor. Promotes certification and advanced formal education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Nursing (Required)

Master's Acute/Critical Care Nursing - Adult (CCRN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Nursing Professional Development - Board Certified (NPD-BC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement

Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range $70,682.60 - $131,480.21
