Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter – Industrial & Commercial Projects Location:

Marion, Ohio

Salary Range:

$37,500 – $78,000 annually

Job Summary:

Area Energy & Electric, Inc. is seeking a qualified Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter to support mechanical and pipefitting installations for industrial and commercial clients. This full-time role involves hands‑on work with large‑scale systems and equipment in a dynamic, safety‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain mechanical piping systems for industrial and commercial facilities

Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, motors (up to 500hp), pumps, and electric pumping units

Operate and maintain wastewater treatment and pumping plant equipment

Perform physical and chemical tests for treatment plant control

Monitor and record data from gauges, meters, and instruments

Implement quality control procedures and respond to system malfunctions and emergencies

Qualifications

1–5 years of plumbing or pipefitting experience

Valid Journeyman license

High school diploma or GED

Strong math skills (algebraic and geometric computations)

Ability to read and interpret technical instruments and data

Familiarity with safety protocols around high‑voltage equipment and moving machinery

Must complete OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire (company‑funded)

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Reliable, team‑oriented, and self‑motivated
