Position Overview Area Energy & Electric, Inc. is hiring a skilled
Plumber/Pipefitter Foreman
to lead mechanical and pipefitting teams on industrial and commercial construction projects. This full‑time leadership role involves supervising crews, managing workflow, and ensuring high‑quality installations and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and direct teams of apprentices and journeymen on mechanical and pipe fitting projects.
Perform preventative maintenance on large commercial and industrial units.
Operate and maintain motors up to 500hp, pumps, electric pumping units, and auxiliary equipment.
Oversee wastewater treatment and pumping plant operations.
Conduct physical and chemical testing for treatment plant control.
Implement quality control procedures and respond to system malfunctions and emergencies.
Required Qualifications
4–10 years of plumbing or pipe fitting experience.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to perform algebraic and geometric computations.
Skilled in reading gauges, meters, and recording instruments.
Knowledge of safety practices around high-voltage equipment and moving machinery.
Employment Requirements
Must furnish and use a smartphone with internet access for daily timekeeping.
Completion of OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire (company-funded).
