Overview
We are seeking an expert Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of complex, data-driven customer journeys across multiple brands and locations. This role requires deep technical expertise in Marketing Cloud, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with Marketing, CRM, and Integration teams. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly experienced, and capable of owning large-scale journeys, complex personalization logic, and data architecture end-to-end.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, multi-step customer journeys using Journey Builder, following best-practice architecture
Develop advanced segmentation, targeting, and personalization using SQL, AMPscript, GTL, SSJS, and HTML/CSS
Build and manage Data Extensions, relationships, and Contact Builder configurations to support complex data models
Create, schedule, and optimize automations in Automation Studio for data processing and journey entry
Develop and support campaigns across Email Studio and Mobile Studio (SMS/MMS)
Manage subscriber and contact lifecycle, including suppression logic, contact delete processes, and consent handling
Configure and maintain Marketing Cloud Connect between Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud
Support and manage multi-BU (Business Unit) architecture, including data sharing and governance
Implement and maintain Sender Authentication Package (SAP) and deliverability best practices
Build and maintain CloudPages and Web Studio assets, including landing pages and forms
Design and document technical solutions, data models, and journey architecture
Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and compliance standards
Troubleshoot data, automation, and journey issues across environments and channels
Other Duties
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers and marketing users
Support project validation, deployment readiness, and post-release activities
Assist with UAT and pre-production testing by identifying data, integration, and automation gaps
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience in a production environment
Proven experience supporting large-scale, multi-location and/or multi-brand implementations
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications strongly preferred
Experience working in healthcare technology or other highly regulated industries
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
