RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop scope of services and fee estimates for professional services related to municipal projects, as well as prepare proposal letters
Manage and lead staff on project production and assist in their professional development
Provide and review detailed design and calculations for various civil projects, including municipal, water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, road, and infrastructure upgrades
Develop water, sewer, and storm systems models for various municipal clients and prepare reports documenting model preparation and results
Prepare and review contract documents suitable for bidding
Prepare and review permit applications and pursue approval
Monitor the quality and progress of construction projects
Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained
Attend evening municipal meetings and hearings, as necessary
Assist municipal clients pertaining to their MS4 regulations and annual reports
Prepare Engineer’s Opinion of Cost for clients’ budgets
Prepare and evaluate pump station designs
Conduct internal project management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee or ability to obtain by comity
5-15 years of civil engineering experience
GSWCC Level II Design Professional and TDEC Level II Certifications
Familiarity with site plan and public infrastructure design, the Municipal Land Use Law, preparation of specifications, and engineering report writing

Position Location – Chattanooga, Tenn. OR Marietta, Ga.
Employment Status – Full-time
