Base pay range $175,000.00/yr – $200,000.00/yr

About The Role The Technology Client Services Attorney is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will communicate and present to clients about innovative technology initiatives, including artificial intelligence and legal technology, aimed at enhancing client service. It also assists the Director in developing and supporting the goals of the client services program within the department. The position is located in one of our offices in New York, Washington D.C., or Chicago, and may offer a flexible hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Continuously monitor and evaluate the firm’s technology offerings, including AI, current and emerging technologies, and market trends that could enhance legal service delivery; provide insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Guide partners in effectively discussing technology with clients by providing coaching, support, and developing client‑focused presentations that highlight strategic technology initiatives.

Collaborate with the New Business, Client Engagement, and other Business Development teams to stay informed of strategic and emerging clients and develop technology‑related content for panels, pitches, RFPs, and client surveys.

Develop and maintain communications, talking points, presentations, and other materials about legal technology trends, AI, and technology tools with a client‑centric focus.

Collaborate with the Innovation & AI team to share information about technology initiatives, client feedback, and workshop and training opportunities.

Protect and maintain any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, or proprietary information retained by Latham & Watkins.

Display excellent writing skills, explaining technical systems and concepts in plain language.

Possess excellent operational skills (organizing, planning, problem‑solving, decision‑making).

Demonstrate well‑developed and professional interpersonal skills, interacting effectively with people at all levels of the firm.

And have:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably a J.D. or comparable legal degree.

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.

Law firm or professional service experience, preferably in a technology or innovation role.
