SALT Outreach Inc. operates a mobile drop‑in center for people experiencing homelessness. Currently, SALT operates five days a week in downtown Orlando, serving up to 200 people per day with 12 different services which includes case management and mental health counseling. Our mission is to share Christ’s love by serving the unsheltered through comprehensive mobile drop‑in centers. Our vision is that every metropolitan area in the US has a comprehensive drop‑in center for people experiencing homelessness. SALT has seen rapid growth over the past few years and has a team of 47 people. We are looking to expand our team with people who have hearts for our friends experiencing homelessness. Responsibilities and Duties
HMIS Documentation and Data Management
Manage and input intake, follow‑up, and exit data from Jotform submissions into HMIS in a timely and accurate manner Review all incoming data for completeness and accuracy; communicate with Case Managers to resolve discrepancies Maintain documentation standards in compliance with SALT Outreach policies, HSN guidelines, and privacy regulations Work collaboratively with the MSS to ensure data integrity across systems Support generation of reports, dashboards, and documentation for internal tracking or compliance audits Intern Supervision and Support
Provide supervision for BSW and MSW student interns as the designated field agency supervisor Facilitate weekly supervision meetings in collaboration with the MSS, fostering professional development and reflection Review and verify intern documentation for accuracy and alignment with social work practice standards Offer guidance, support, and coaching to interns in alignment with their academic and field placement goals Participate in intern onboarding, orientation, and evaluations in coordination with partnering schools Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with MSS and Case Management staff to streamline data collection workflows Maintain communication with university field liaisons to ensure compliance with internship requirements Support ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency in data management and intern supervision Administrative Support
Assist MSS with tracking HMIS‑related deadlines, submissions, and compliance updates Participate in Case Management team meetings and planning sessions as needed Maintain organized digital and physical records related to HMIS entries and internship oversight This is not a full description of job duties and responsibilities and additional duties may be assigned by the Manager of Social Services, the Director of Care Services, and SALT’s Leadership Team. Requirements
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of post‑MSW experience in social services or a related setting Experience with HMIS or similar client data systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time‑management abilities Detail‑oriented with the ability to ensure data accuracy and compliance Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced environment Proficient with MS Office Suite, Google Docs, and Google Sheets Preferences
Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness Prior experience supervising BSW or MSW interns Physical Requirements
Considerable amount of time using a telephone and computer Sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods to perform data entry and administrative tasks Answer phone calls and communicate with colleagues and clients verbally throughout the day Use hands and fingers for typing and operating office equipment, such as printers and scanners Use hands and fingers for precise mouse movements and keyboard shortcuts Review and analyze printed materials for accuracy and quality Attend meetings and collaborate with team members in various office settings Collaborate with colleagues and communicate professionally in person and via email Sit at a workstation and use a computer to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues Use a headset to communicate with customers over the phone for extended periods Navigate between multiple software systems to access customer information Occasionally stand and walk within the office to consult with supervisors or assist colleagues Be able to lift at least 50 pounds EEO Statement
