Engage with youth ages 1-12 years in a fun and safe environment Create, implement and provide input on youth program curricula or a daily schedule plan Create and manage programs for Kids Night Out in Daxko Establish good rapport with parents and children Keep accurate rosters and attendance records Effectively communicate with supervisor, peers, parents and participants Ensure a safe and clean environment for children Reliably work various hours Monday – Sunday (including evenings 4:00pm–8:30pm and Saturdays) Commit to establishing long-term relationships with staff, volunteers, participants, members and families Essential Functions
Incorporate and model YMCA Christian principles into your work Follow directions and relate/communicate well with children, parents and staff Have the physical and mental ability to teach athletic and enrichment programs and move equipment up to ~25 lbs Respond quickly to critical incidents and emergency situations Observe and oversee group participant activities and enforce safety regulations Work well in fast-paced environments and establish harmonious relations with team, volunteers and partners Lead groups of participants in activities Requirements
Must pass YMCA background check Complete all job-related trainings within 30 days of hire Have CPR/First Aid certification or acquire within 30 days of employment Prior work experience with youth and parents preferred At least 18 years of age Seniority level
