Job Description:
AHMG Genomics and Personalized Health at Orlando
601 E. Rollins St., Suite 125, Orlando, FL 32804
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Promotes, advocates, and collaborates to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Identifies resources, provides information, and supports patients and families regarding the impact of genetic diagnosis.
Communicates patient information to medical providers.
Obtains appropriate informed consent for gene testing.
Provides counseling in‑person, by telephone, and/or telehealth based on patient and facility needs.
Counsels patients regarding risks, need for gene testing, and treatment options. Performs patient risk assessments in an accurate, compassionate, and informative manner.
Develops and conducts educational sessions and in‑services for professional staff, including physicians and the general public.
Documents all patient care activities, including assessments/evaluations, recommendations, and patient response per standards of practice and regulatory/third‑party payer requirements.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Doctorate, Master's (Required) American Board Genetic Counseling (ABGC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
Pay Range:
$59,652.52 - $110,956.61
