Responsibilities
Schedule and supervise a team of 5‑6 field installers.
Assist with installation as necessary.
Attend job site weekly meetings.
Conduct tool‑box topics and daily reports on job sites.
Use tools properly to ensure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware.
Report any damaged products to supervisor.
Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders and MSDS to plan layout and assembly.
Organize and document safety training, drug screens, and other required documents.
Act as liaison between installers and project managers.
Keep detailed records of installation requirements and project specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Functions
Attends job site weekly meetings.
Schedules and supervises installers each day.
Delivers tool‑box topics.
Provides daily reports on job sites.
Uses tools properly to insure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware.
Reports damaged products to supervisor.
Analyzes drawings, sketches, work orders and MSDS to plan layout and assembly.
Organizes and documents safety training, drug screens, and other required documents.
Liaison between installers and project managers.
Maintains detailed record of installation requirements and specifications.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to lift/carry 25‑50 lbs. frequently.
Experience using power tools such as saws and drills.
Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred.
Must pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong math, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
Ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed for a job.
Physical Demands This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two‑thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using their hands to handle or feel, and reaching with their hands and arms. Approximately one‑third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
Work Environment This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
