Product Development Team From sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, order placement, pricing, quality control, and getting the finished product where it needs to be, our product development team ensures high standards and profitability. We look for focused, results‑driven, tenacious, and flexible team players.
Specific Responsibilities
The Product Development Associate supports the product development process from initial design concept through production focusing on brands like GUESS Kids.
Ensure accurate and timely production of samples that meet both aesthetic and customer requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Production, Design, Sales, Overseas Offices) to develop and execute assigned product lines.
Help facilitate the development process for the Kids Sportswear Division.
Maintain seasonal approval charts and communicate with overseas vendors on product submissions including lab dips, strike offs, sales samples, and pre‑production samples.
Ensure quality and integrity of brands are maintained to standard.
Collaborate with Design teams and Technical Designers to ensure garment constructions, design details, and art placement meet design concept at the fit stage.
Partner with Design, Production, and Sales to keep development on schedule per design calendar.
Evaluate initial tech packs through PLM with the Design team, ensuring all details are executable by factories.
Schedule proto review meetings with the Design team to review all garment constructions, design details, and art placement ensuring the garment reflects the designer’s vision.
Catalog and maintain fabric, print, and trim standard libraries for future reference.

Comprehensive understanding of the entire Product Development cycle and milestones.
Working knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques and seam classifications.
Technical knowledge of fabric qualities, finishes, printing and art embellishments for all product categories.
Understanding of Child Safety Guidelines.
Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative.
Proficient in FlexPLM, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Adobe Illustrator a plus.
Superior organizational and communication skills; team oriented.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.
Bachelor’s degree, Product Development major preferred.
3+ years of product development or relevant experience.
