Water Resources Project Manager
to join our team. The role supports the firm's Roadway practice and offers an opportunity to contribute to expansion in a rapidly growing business line.
Job Location Richmond, Virginia Office – Richmond, VA 23230
Overview Wallace Montgomery (WM) is a recognized leader in planning, engineering, and construction management. The firm’s staff of Professional Engineers, Planners, Surveyors, Technicians, Construction Inspectors, and Support Personnel manage diverse highway, bridge, transit, water resources, utilities, and wastewater facilities.
Responsibilities
Supervise the activities of multiple technical professionals (engineers/planners/scientists/technicians), project teams, and subconsultants.
Develop project documents and reports in accordance with applicable standards.
Participate in presentations such as public meetings and client interviews.
Monitor compliance with scope of work and implement quality control/quality assurance procedures.
Develop and manage project schedules and budgets; initiate corrective action as needed.
Assist associates and partners with financial management duties.
Maintain project records through effective filing and archiving.
Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior staff.
Stay current on trends and methodologies in the field to keep the firm up to date with software, training needs, and related issues.
Facilitate coordination across technical disciplines within the firm.
Promote the firm’s expertise and serve as a liaison with clients to establish trust and confidence.
Perform procurement of work opportunities and provide service in professional societies.
Assist associates and partners upon request; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Candidate should have 8+ years of experience in Water Resources engineering and possess excellent communication skills, demonstrated supervisory experience, and strong client coordination abilities. Responsibilities include comprehensive capital project management and reporting, and navigating project development from design through construction. On-site assignments are anticipated, including client office work and owner representation.
MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
PE License required.
BS Degree required.
