Dental Assistant – Metro Dentalcare, Roseville, MN

Responsibilities
Greet patients and ensure a welcoming, comfortable experience throughout their visit.
Review patient health history to support quality care decisions.
Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
Provide four‑handed chairside assistance during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state practice laws.
Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling, record keeping, and office workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms, following strict safety protocols and OSHA/CDC recommendations.
Manage supply inventory, place orders, and maintain office readiness.
Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office efficiency.

Schedule
Monday: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (every other week)
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
Required: a Minnesota dental assisting license (or in process). X‑ray certification and assistant certification preferred if required by state law.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to access PHI and complete HIPAA training; maintain strict PHI safeguards.
Preferred Experience
1+ year of experience in a dental setting.
Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
Dental assisting school certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
Lift and carry up to 45 lbs as needed.
Available for virtual and occasional in‑person training sessions throughout the year.
Must complete a TB test during pre‑employment (non‑applicable in FL & TN).
