Phlebotomist – K2 Medical Research Join our team in Nashville, TN to support clinical trials and research studies. The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood, ensuring samples are properly labeled and stored, maintaining equipment, and providing outstanding patient care. Primary Responsibilities Verify positive patient identification to ensure subject safety. Assess subject reactions to specimen procurement. Perform venipuncture, capillary, and/or IV specimens from study subjects per protocol, maintaining aseptic technique. Obtain additional assistance when necessary. Collect specimens according to priority and scheduled draw times. Ensure completion of specimen collection functions per protocol. Confirm specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing. Under supervision, ensure that clinical trials are conducted according to protocol requirements. Manage samples – maintain collection and proper chain of custody. Give necessary instructions to research participants. Complete and keep up‑to‑date role‑required trainings. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations. Maintain calm, professional atmosphere on the study floor and in all interpersonal communications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient reading, writing, and interpretation of English. 2–5 years of phlebotomy experience. Technical assessment skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Results‑oriented, multitasking, quick learner; responds to urgent team needs and meets deadlines. Qualifications Phlebotomy certification preferred. Background as a phlebotomist, nurse, or EMT preferred. Two to five years of experience performing phlebotomy preferred.
