What You Will Be Doing
Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group activities
Encouraging student involvement and building confidence through direct messages, public recognition, and one‑on‑one touchpoints
Maintaining student focus, morale, and connection throughout the learning experience
Providing logistical and operational support to lead educators to ensure workshops proceed without interruption
Serving as a positive, consistent presence and culture champion across bilingual sessions and extracurricular clubs
What You Won’t Be Doing
Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
Preparing lesson materials or evaluating student work
Developing curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
Observing passively—this position demands active involvement and sustained energy
Online Youth Mentor Key Responsibilities Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain focused, motivated, and well‑coordinated throughout every workshop session.
Basic Requirements
Available to work 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday US Mountain Time (UTC‑7)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership roles
Educational history in US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K‑16) – must have been a student in one of these countries (current residence may be anywhere)
Excellent communication abilities and strong proficiency with digital tools and platforms
Motivating, student‑centered demeanor with attention to detail and skillful management of transitions
Nice‑to‑have Requirements
Familiarity with online learning technologies or youth development programs
Experience in after‑school initiatives, summer camp settings, or student club coordination
