What You’ll Do
Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground, with guidance.
Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation.
Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
Be 18 years of age or older.
Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
Valid State driver's license (non‑provisional) with an acceptable driving record.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
Six months of copper splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Additional Qualifications
Certified pole climber or capability to demonstrate proficiency as a pole climber is preferred.
Physical Abilities & Exposures
Routinely: operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds.
Occasionally: work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse.
