Our Research and Development team has been growing steadily and to reinforce it further we are looking for a strong technical professional to work on Altiplano, Nokia’s cloud native Fixed Access Domain Controller.

Altiplano virtualizes the management and network functions from the network elements to operators cloud and further improves network operations efficiency by abstracting and automating the underlying multivendor, multi-technology Fixed Access networks.

Your responsibilities

Define the Altiplano architecture and design. Play a key role in the BU’s innovation strategy development. Altiplano portfolio consists of multiple products in the space of fixed access domain controller

Keep abreast of industry trends in technology for management solutions and software engineering with a view of identifying the right ones for adoption in the group

Work with the engineering team towards the realization of the architecture and design in the respective areas of the domain controller

Mentor and coach a large engineering team distributed across locations for efficient design, high performance and quality

Drive internal process improvements & innovations in software engineering to move the team towards best in class practices.

Strengthen the innovation spirit in the group and mentor

Work towards a multi-domain management solution with other Nokia Business Groups. Actively contribute towards cross BG workgroups within Nokia to identify and deploy common technologies and best practices for use

Drive innovation processes and collaborations with customers

Your skills and experience

Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related areas

12+ years of strong experience of architecting software/IT/telecom solutions

Expert in software engineering practices like DevOps, Agile Methodologies, Continuous Integration, Test Automation, Micro-Services, XaaS models

Expertise in relevant technologies including JS, Java/J2EE, Linux, DBMS, Web Technologies, Cloud & Virtualization, Kubernetes, Containerization, SDN, Data Analytics

Ability to quickly prototype and validate design approaches

Experience in successfully working with global organizations with strong communication ability

Prior Experience in Network Management Solutions and Access Technologies
