Job Description
JOB DUTIES: Operate all equipment, stock ingredients from delivery area, work area, walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
TRAINING: Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication & Skills
Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used). Make correct monetary change.
Motor coordination between eye and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Physical Demands & Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature occur.
Fumes from food odors, exposure to commercial dust, cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Standing most tasks; walking short distances; occasional sitting for paperwork.
Lifting: bulk product deliveries (up to 60 lb) and stacking cases up to 72 in high.
Carrying: large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (≈30 lb), trays of dough (~12 lb per tray).
Pushing/pulling trays on dollies (≈24–30 in, 7.5 lb).
Climbing: infrequent navigation of stairs or ladder to change signs, wash walls, perform maintenance.
Reaching: continuously, up, down, forward; occasionally above 72 in, down to the floor, or forward at the front counter.
Hand tasks: eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands, forearms, wrists, pizza peel, pizza cutter, cardboard boxes.
Delivery Requirements
Deliver product by car to customer door; deliver flyers and doorhangers or marketing materials.
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to insured vehicle used for delivery.
Navigation skills: read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, navigate adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings.
Driving duties: deliver company products within a designated area; make several deliveries per shift.
Walking & climbing while delivering: travel from store to vehicle and to customer location; navigate five or more flights of stairs may be required.
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering.
Sensing: far vision and night vision for driving.
