Building Maintenance Technician
Leavenworth County – 25-12-2 – County Employee. Hourly: $22.64–$23.56. Full‑time. Location: Leavenworth County Court House, 300 Walnut, Suite 007, Leavenworth, KS 66048.
Key Responsibilities
Building walk‑through custodial – 20%
Building work orders – 20%
Household repairs – 15%
Electrical repairs – 5%
HVAC repairs – 5%
Concrete repairs – 10%
Mowing and landscape – 0%
Forecasting maintenance and assigning tasks – 5%
Construction projects – 5%
Safety – as directed by the Director of Buildings and Grounds
Minimum Skills and Knowledge (Required)
Work independently and safely in building and grounds maintenance.
Use a variety of hand and power tools.
Move, repair, assemble and disassemble office furniture and equipment.
Standard plumbing – free‑plugged waste lines, valve, faucet, sink, toilet, fountain, and other water‑using devices.
Standard electrical – light fixtures, receptacles, light switches.
Standard building – door hardware, locks, spot carpet, drywall replacement, patching, painting, landscape, sweeping.
Minor HVAC – assessment, repair and tune‑ups.
Concrete assessment and repair techniques.
Assess the scope of work for minor construction projects.
Create work plans and prior documentation.
