Work Hours:
20 hours per week, typically 3:30 PM–7:30 PM and 4:00 PM–8:00 PM. Rotating holidays and weekends may be required.
Compensation:
$17.63 – $20.27 – $23.65 per hour.
Job Summary:
The Guest Service Ambassador (GSA) facilitates patient meal and snack selections, assembles and delivers patient meals within a set timeframe, provides guidance on Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) orders, and supports nursing and Clinical Nutrition teams. The GSA ensures quality patient care and enhances patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Assess patients for appropriateness of food selections.
Assist patients and families with meal selections.
Provide guidance to meet MNT orders and confirm allergies in CIS and CBORD systems.
Communicate food choice and intake issues to Clinical Nutrition Team and nursing.
Accurately assemble patient snacks and meal trays in compliance with diet orders and allergies.
Deliver meals, snacks and supplements to patients and coordinate delivery with nursing.
Use dual identifiers when delivering trays and snacks.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of trays and assist patients with tray set up when needed.
Practice clean-in, clean-out procedures.
Record supplement, fluid, and meal intake; record calorie count when ordered.
Report patient snack/meal problems to Supervisor or Liaison.
Stock and refill cold and dry storage supplies for tray assembly and backup areas.
Practice safe food handling and maintain appropriate food temperature, hand hygiene, and personal hygiene.
Process commissary orders to maintain par level for tray line food items.
Perform tray tracking and practice FIFO.
Deliver meals and snacks to units independently.
Qualifications
Experience in hospitality industry preferred but not required.
1–2 years’ experience in customer service.
Ability to work rotating days, including weekends and holidays.
Strong multitasking skills.
Computer literate.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Certifications Education:
GED or HiSET.
