Recreation Coordinator - Devereux

About the Role As a Residential Recreation Coordinator at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals to oversee campus activities and special events, coordinate campus-wide recreational events, ensure implementation of recreational programming, and engage as a potential Special Olympics coach. You will collaborate with Program Managers to maintain appropriate staffing, coordinate attendance with community organizations, provide advocacy-based fundraising events, and meet driving requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee campus activities and special events.
Coordinate campus-wide recreational events.
Ensure implementation of recreational programming.
Engage as a Special Olympics coach and recruit others.
Collaborate with Program Managers on staffing adequacy.
Coordinate attendance and engagement with supporting organizations.
Assist in recreational/advocacy-based fundraising events.
Maintain minimum driver license and vehicle requirements.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
Two years of experience in a similar setting; recreation experience preferred.
Must be 21 or older with a clean, valid NY State driver license.
