UTILITY ROUTE DRIVER (FULL TIME)
Location:
Canteen – 823 Washington Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059. Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays possible. Pay range:
$23.75 to $50.00 per hour. Commission eligibility:
May be included. Internal Employee Referral Bonus:
Available.
Job Summary Drives company-owned truck over an established route to deliver and sell products or render services, collects money from machines, and makes change.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Service a particular route or location during absence of regular route or warehouse employee.
Assist Customer Service Managers with opening/closing operations and train new route service personnel.
Drive truck to deliver items such as soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items and sundries to customers' places of business.
Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines. Collect stale, rejected or unsold merchandise. Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device; account for cash and product.
Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; inform them of new products and/or services; listen to and resolve service complaints.
Select items from warehouse and load truck; prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines.
Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
Maintain clean and safe work environment; perform job safely.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license; ability to operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws.
