Job Description Technician personnel maintain, repair, and troubleshoot presses, cranes, scrap conveyors and perform electrical and mechanical repairs for Pressroom, Assembly, Paint & Pack and E‑Coat departments. Technicians report to the Supervisor of Maintenance. This position requires flexibility to support all operational shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Work Shift
1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3:30 pm
Responsibilities
Support and follow the Company Safety Programs.
Remove, repair and adjust press clutches and brakes.
Repair gears and mechanical devices.
Wire presses, cranes, scrap conveyors, etc.
Maintain and repair auxiliary press devices and assembly equipment.
Design and program machine controllers.
Maintain and repair Paint & Pack equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical devices.
Weld and fabricate various components.
Operate a forklift.
Operate mills and lathes.
Perform daily preventive maintenance.
Perform any other work as deemed necessary by supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, reading schematics and wiring diagrams, and knowledge of electrical codes.
Successful score on Mechanical and Electrical assessment.
Ability to lift 85 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, arms and body.
Ability to work at heights of 20+ feet.
Forklift operator’s license.
Ability to weld and braise.
