Job Description
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner. They prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pull materials; pack boxes; and place orders in the staging area. This candidate will also manage, organize, and retrieve stock. It is mandatory that they have experience operating a forklift.
Responsibilities
Pack, stock, organize, and rearrange products in the warehouse.
Keep the warehouse premises neat and clean.
Organize and keep records of inventory up to date.
Monitor and manage inventory.
Handle shipping, loading, and unloading of products.
Deliver and pick up materials from job sites.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care.
Drive a company truck, sometimes with a trailer.
Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse.
Integrate best practices in handling warehouse materials.
Overnight market travel required.
Requirements
Forklift experience.
Ability to lift 75 pounds.
High school degree or equivalent.
Proficiency in MS Office products with working knowledge of computers.
Valid driver’s license.
Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Able to work independently.
Highly organized and able to store items efficiently.
