Operate commercial trucks safely in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. You may drive roll‑off trucks, tractor‑trailers, flat‑beds, and/or lugger trucks as assigned, hauling loads up to 70′ long. Load and secure scrap metal materials onto the truck, ensuring proper weight distribution. Plan and follow designated delivery routes, considering traffic conditions and road closures. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly. Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE. Complete all necessary paperwork such as delivery logs, bills of lading, and other documentation required during pickups and deliveries. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and clients. Handle materials in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams to ensure efficient execution of deliveries and pickups. Minimum Qualifications
Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record. Experience driving a flat‑bed trailer. Must be able to drive a manual transmission. Minimum of 5 years of commercial driving experience. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to lift and move heavy materials. Ability to strap own load. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Schedule
