Location & Compensation Spokane Valley, WA
Estimated Salary: $90,000 – $250,000 per year

Position Description As an Assistant Manager, you will be engaged in all day‑to‑day operations at the restaurant. You will need to be a team leader, excellent problem‑solver, and capable of handling stress while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines.
Cultivates a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee’s core values.
Responds to and resolves guest complaints promptly.
Maintains departmental inventory levels.
Ensures product preparation meets company standards through line checks.
Schedules employees to meet sales demands.
Maintains safety and security programs.
Promotes restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.
Reports maintenance needs to the General Manager/Area Director.
Supports recruitment and referral of potential team members and management candidates.
Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers.
Facilitates employee development through orientation, training sessions and performance documentation.
Provides fair, regular feedback and works with employees on development areas.
Monitors performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary action.
Ensures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
Controls cost in assigned departments.
Complies with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
Drives bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories upon request.
Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
Maintains sanitation standards meeting or exceeding health department requirements.
Serves as a role model for managers and employees.
Develops proficiency in all store‑related technology.
Provides assistance in all positions as needed (e.g., cooking on line, seating guests, bartending).
Participates in the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth.
Education and Experience
At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience.
Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus.
Physical Standards
Work various shifts, including weekends.
Stand and move at a steady pace for up to ten (10) hours.
Safely lift items up to 50 pounds.
Read and write to facilitate communication; possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools.
