full‑time Site Supervisor II

to oversee our Operation Technicians and Product Management team members and donor center operations in Yankton with additional partnership with Sioux City. SUMMARY

Supervises team members to ensure blood collection and distribution goals are met. Oversees and maintains all processes associated with site‑specific departments, including donor centers, mobiles, hospital services, and general facility operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises and assesses that personnel perform assigned duties in compliance with all policies, processes, and procedures.

Leads and performs decision‑making duties, processes, and activities that encompass assigned collections goals, sites and departments.

Responsible for staff members, mobiles, donor centers, and depending on site, responsible for on‑site manufacturing and distribution of blood products.

Performs technical duties for donor screening, blood collection, and automation production for all donation types.

Provides expertise to handle all questions regarding donor selection, venipuncture, automation, and donor questions.

Promotes team member retention and professional growth by providing a positive and supportive culture and environment.

Authority to recommend personnel decisions such as hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, coaching, disciplinary action, and terminations.

Facilitates team member development by providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.

Ensures team members have adequate training to perform designated duties.

Responsible for oversight of assigned donor center facility, blood component and/or distribution activities, and fleet management.

Responsible for managing inventory of supplies needed to operate assigned location.

Supervises all necessary maintenance of equipment.

Demonstrates defensive driving techniques at all times to provide safe transport of staff and supplies.

Drives the mobile vehicle to and from mobile in time allotted and is prepared at all times for adverse weather conditions.

May assist with the fleet equipment and supplies during the preparation before and after mobile drives.

Performs checks of sites/staging and fleet to ensure all LifeServe property and critical supplies are present prior to any departures and returns.

Oversees service excellence, process excellence, and regulatory compliance and risk management.

Assists in ensuring that established budget goals are met.

Provides motivation and development for subordinates which may include others who have direct reports.

Holds a current driver’s license and has a motor vehicle report meeting insurability requirements required.

Maintains confidentiality of LifeServe Blood Center donors, team members, financial/proprietary records, and other information at all times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Depending on site location, directly supervises:

Donor Specialist I, II, III, IV

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

2+ years of LifeServe leadership experience preferred.

2+ years of medical or blood banking leadership experience required.

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, etc.) and a willingness to engage in learning other software.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

RN or LPN with current licensure recognized by Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) preferred.

Depending on site, may need to complete a truck driving program or defensive driving course to drive a bloodmobile bus.
