Position Summary
We are seeking a full‑time
Inbound Call Center Specialist
located in Phoenix, AZ to manage toll‑free calls and live chat interactions with students, prospective students, and other stakeholders. The role requires a 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. While remote, occasional in‑person meetings may be required.
What you will do
Answer, screen, and route calls from students, prospective students, and staff.
Enter inquiries into the inquiry management database with high accuracy.
Conduct live‑chat conversations, providing professional and accurate responses.
Maintain a positive, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
Multi‑task across multiple systems and applications efficiently.
Communicate effectively to collect, relay, and track information.
Adhere to schedules, start times, breaks, and lunch to maintain service levels.
Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and clear concise dialogue.
Uphold contact‑center quality standards and meet or exceed metrics.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of customer‑service experience in a call‑center environment.
Typing speed of 20 wpm while interacting with callers and system tools.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Strong multitasking and navigation of multiple systems.
Excellent communication skills for accurate information collection and relay.
Positive, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
Dependable, punctual, and customer‑service oriented.
Ability to embody Grand Canyon University’s ethical statements and mission.
