Team Lead – Shipping & Receiving

Shift
1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Overtime as required, including some weekends.
Responsibilities
Lead the team to complete all orders by the last pickup of the day (5pm)
Perform physical and/or administrative duties for shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging and distributing materials and merchandise
Maintain the work area and follow procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Report to the Warehouse Manager and/or Fulfillment Center Director as necessary
Coordinate day‑to‑day operations for a group of non‑exempt employees
Assist the team with order induction, picking, putting away inventory, inventory adjustments, slotting, pre‑production work orders, packing and shipping
Ensure work and orders flow and meet operational objectives daily
Transport supplies, products and orders between locations, departments and workstations as needed
Maintain records of scrapped inventory and daily team throughput
Must Have
Provide daily direction for the team and be accountable for performance
Strong communication to share information and customer issues across shifts
Lead by example, offer help and support to all team members
Seek opportunities for process improvement
Conduct on‑the‑job training and new‑hire orientation for team processes
Provide opinions on work habits of team members; discipline is the responsibility of supervisors and managers
Mentor and encourage others to adopt change and share ideas
Respect diverse ideas and foster collaboration
Show dedication to the team and the company
Be willing to give and receive feedback
Understand the importance of quality in every process
Support management, company policies and culture
Be flexible with schedule and maintain above‑average attendance
Act with trustworthiness and maintain confidentiality as required
May fill in for team members or perform special assignments for leadership
Requirements
Communicate clearly and exchange accurate information
Remain in a stationary position regularly
Operate machinery and handle print materials regularly
Move inside the facility frequently
Lift, push, pull or carry up to 25+ pounds
Preferred
Prior warehouse/receiving experience in a lead capacity
Pay range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. Total compensation and benefits include health, dental, vision, wellness, life and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, a 401(k) plan with match, paid time off and 64 hours of annual holiday pay.
