Family's Introduction to Nanny Family of 4. 2 full‑time working parents. We are looking for a professional nanny‑housekeeper, not an au pair. Very active family, busy with work and enjoy sports and traveling. We believe in strong work ethics in school and at work, we value kindness, friendships and mutual respect.
We are an active, friendly, and respectful family living in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, looking for a full‑time live‑in Nanny Housekeeper to join our household as soon as possible.
Both parents work full time and travel regularly for business. We are therefore looking for someone reliable, flexible, and confident who can provide consistency and structure for our children.
This is a long‑term position for someone who is outgoing, confident, organised, and experienced in both childcare and household management. Our previous nannies have stayed with us for 3 to 5 years, and this continuity has been very positive for both our children and our family.
A separate private apartment of approximately 110 square metres is provided as part of the position. The apartment includes 2 bedrooms, a large living room, a separate kitchen, a bathroom with shower and bathtub, and a small private garden with a patio. It is located next to our house.
We have 2 school‑aged boys, aged 10 and almost 13. They are independent, active, and kind. We are looking for someone who can offer a stable and supportive presence in their daily routines while also managing the household.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the children with daily routines including school runs, activities, and homework
Preparing simple and healthy meals for the children, mainly afternoon snacks and dinners
General housekeeping while the children are at school, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and tidying
Running errands and managing grocery shopping
Taking full responsibility for the morning routine when both parents are travelling overnight, including waking the children, preparing breakfast and snack boxes, and completing school drop‑offs
A valid driving licence and strong driving confidence are essential. Prior experience as a nanny‑housekeeper with contactable references is very important to us.
The working schedule is Monday through Thursday. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are free. The children attend school from 8:00 until approximately 14:00 to 15:00, depending on the day. They have lunch at school and then require support with homework and afternoon activities such as tennis and piano.
When both parents are away overnight, we will ask the nanny to spend the night in the guest room in our house in order to supervise the children and manage the morning routine. This is an important part of the role.
The boys enjoy playing soccer, table tennis, cooking and baking, and going on excursions. They bond best with someone who is proactive, engaging, and enjoys being active with pre‑teen and early teenage children. We are quite strict regarding the use of electronic devices. Our children do not have smart phones, so we would value a nanny who shares our views on active play rather than excessive screen use.
We have always had a native English speaking nanny, and our children are bilingual as a result. Our family language is German, and the children also learn Spanish at school.
Our preference is for a native English speaker or a native Spanish speaker who is fluent in either English or German.
