Teller Part- or Full-Time (Abilene) – First Bank Texas
Teller
– Tellers are responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and promoting bank products and services. They balance cash drawers and maintain a neat work area. Availability: 7 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday, and 8 am – 1 pm Saturday.
Responsibilities
Cashes checks and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficient funds to support withdrawals.
Accepts deposits, confirming the accuracy of the transaction.
Enters transactions in the bank's record‑keeping system, records all transactions, and produces customer receipts.
Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services.
Balances cash drawers.
Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous customer service/cash handling experience is required.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
May need to stand or sit for long periods.
