Family's Introduction to Nanny Hello, and thank you for considering joining our family!
We are a loving family of seven, with two friendly dogs. We recently adopted two wonderful babies who are now toddlers: a 1 year old boy and a 2 and half year old girl. Our family includes Dad (39), Mom (41), and our older children (18M, 15F, and 13M). The older kids are kind, well-behaved, and active in school and sports. They are also great helpers and will make you feel at home.
Mom works as a nurse at a hospital, and Dad works from home while also managing our 75-acre hobby farm. The farm is home to miniature cows, sheep, ducks, and chickens, and while caring for the farm isn’t part of your job, it adds a unique and peaceful charm to our lifestyle. We are located just four miles from town, and about 25-30 minutes from larger cities like Dubuque, Platteville, and Galena. Chicago and Milwaukee are within a 2.5-hour drive if you’re up for an adventure. A vehicle is available for your use, provided you have a valid driver’s license.
While we will often be home, your main focus will be caring for the two youngest members of our family. We want to create a collaborative and supportive environment where your role is clearly defined, but we also value your input in building a schedule that works for everyone.

Schedule & Hours
Each position will be for 30 hours per week.
1 week (30 hours) of PTO earned every 2 months.
Childcare (Most Important): up to 35 hours.
Monday-Friday: 5:00PM - 8:00PM (approximately)
Saturday-Sunday: Up to 10 hours each day.
Miscellaneous: Meal prep, cleaning, general house chores, errands: up to 25 hours.
Benefits
Private detached living quarters a few steps from the family residence. Includes private bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, etc.
Meals Provided.
Mobile Phone Plan provided.
High-speed internet, TV, and access to streaming services.
Use of a shared vehicle (with other au pair) for personal or work-related transportation (valid driver’s license required). Can be used if au pair wishes to secure a local, part-time job.
The opportunity to live on a beautiful 75-acre hobby farm surrounded by animals and nature, with nearby access to town and larger cities.
Job Requirements Childcare Care Responsibilities Providing nurturing care for our two youngest children: a 1 year old boy and a 2 and half year old girl. Includes feeding, diaper changes, naps, and engaging in age‑appropriate activities. Supporting the toddler’s daily routine, such as meal preparation, playtime, nap schedules, and early childhood learning activities. Ensuring the safety and well‑being of both children at all times.
Housekeeping Assisting with light housekeeping tasks related to the children, such as tidying their play areas, laundering their clothes, and cleaning up after meals. Occasionally adapting work hours to accommodate the family’s weekly schedule or special events. Daily tasks will vary, but will include meal/dinner prep for the family, house cleaning, general house chores, running errands.
