Revit II Operator – Newark, NJ
Job overview: The Revit Operator II is a critical leadership role responsible for managing and coordinating complex design processes for construction projects. This position requires advanced technical knowledge, strategic planning skills, and the ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary design teams.
Base pay range
$80 000–$110 000 per year
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the comprehensive design development for airport infrastructure projects, including terminals, runways, support facilities, and associated transportation infrastructure.
Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and quality control processes.
Coordinate between architectural, engineering, and construction teams to ensure design integrity and project alignment.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, tracking progress, budgets, and timelines.
Review and approve design deliverables for technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance with local, state, and federal aviation regulations.
Conduct design risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present design progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with airport authorities, regulatory bodies, and external consultants.
Implement value engineering techniques to optimize design efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience managing large, complex building, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
Experience in design management of complex aviation improvements (preferred).
Professionally licensed architect and/or engineer (preferred).
Demonstrated experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and design management software.
Strong understanding of airport design standards (FAA, IATA, local regulations).
Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex design projects.
Advanced technical and communication skills.
Proficiency in project management methodologies.
Technical Skills
AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360.
Project management software.
Detailed understanding of construction documentation processes.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles.
Familiarity with airport-specific design challenges and technologies.
Knowledge of electrical engineering for rail transportation (EWR AirTrain).
