Overview We are hiring immediately for full‑time Diet Clerk positions.
Location: Fort Loudoun Medical Center – 550 Fort Loudoun Medical Center Drive, Lenoir City, TN 37772 (online applications only).
Schedule: Full‑time schedule; hours and days may vary, including rotating weekends. Details provided during interview.
Requirement: No experience required. Willing to train!
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
Job Summary Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Diet Clerk is responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Distribute and collect menus.
Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet, as assigned by a dietitian.
Offer alternatives to the menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences when patients inquire or require additional selections.
Plan regular and modified menus based on current diet manual.
Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
May be responsible for preparation, distribution, inventory, and management of human/donor milk and/or infant formula.
Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patients’ rights policies.
Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and TJC.
Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
Follow facility and department infection‑control policies and procedures.
Participate in facility‑wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
