DIET CLERK (ON CALL)

- under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager, responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions as needed.
Position Details
Location: Advent Health Bolingbrook - 500 Remington Boulevard, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. Note: online applications only.
Schedule: On call schedule Monday through Friday, hours may vary; weekends and holidays included.
Pay Range: $17.50 per hour to $19.50 per hour.
Requirement: No previous experience required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Distribute and collect menus.
Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet as assigned by dietitian.
Offer alternatives to menu as allowed by prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences when patient inquires or needs additional selections.
Plan regular and modified menus based on current diet manual.
Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula accurately and timely.
May be responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory, and management of human/donor milk and/or infant formula.
Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and TJC.
Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
Follow facility and department infection‑control policies and procedures.
Participate in facility‑wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
