Job Details
Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery, learn Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete daily documentation, read and write, use math for computations, and be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 25+ lbs; stand, bend, reach overhead and twist for long periods; stand 10‑12 hours a day on hard floors; climb fixed ladders; work in a hot, dusty, damp/warm environment with high allergen concentration.
Work Schedule 1st Shift – Thursday, Friday and Saturday, every other Wednesday. Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
6 months continuous work history within the last 12 months.
Minimum 1‑year related maintenance experience and/or technical certifications in electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and shop tools.
No possession of domestic, wild or exotic fowl.
Possess a Boiler Certification or ability to acquire one within 6 months.
Animal welfare background check required if necessary.
Only applicants from Madison, Carroll, Boone counties in AR and Stone County in MO (within a 50‑mile radius of the Green Forest Hatchery) will be considered.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
NOTE: Job Grade/Pay will be based on skill set and level of experience.
