As an In-Store Shopper, you’ll support the Customer Service & E-Commerce teams by preparing customer orders for delivery and/or pickup.
Availability Team members receive their schedule up to 3 weeks in advance.
Shift Length Average shifts are 4-8 hours long.
Job Requirements
Comfort using handheld mobile devices to fulfill orders.
Efficiently, accurately, and with a sense of urgency fulfill online orders.
Detail-oriented and pay attention to product and order accuracy.
Eager to learn product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations.
Keep the staging area organized and free of clutter.
Willing to work in other departments of the store as required (e.g., customer service, cashier, grocery).
Basic Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Proficient in English to prepare and shop customer orders.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Standing/walking 6-8 hours and sitting 1-4 hours per 8‑hour day.
Single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling hand use.
Perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
Exposure to FDA‑approved cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to temperatures
90°F.
Work a flexible schedule nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Use tools and equipment (box cutters, electric pallet jacks, other heavy machinery).
May require use of ladders.
The wage range for this position is $17.50‑$25.40 hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers Whole Benefits, which may include health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for a store discount, paid time off, and access to other benefit programs. Eligibility for Whole Benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable Whole Benefits plan at a person’s date of hire.
New entry‑level Team Members who successfully complete their first 90 days of employment and remain actively employed in an eligible role may be eligible for a base rate increase after their 90‑day anniversary.
