In this role as an Account Manager, you will retain and drive new business at accounts in a manner that meets or exceeds the business needs of key customers, differentiates Corning Life Sciences division within the marketplace, and supports the achievement of the division’s sales and profit objectives. You will develop new markets, customers, and applications, act as the prime contact on contracts and projects, and coordinate with senior external personnel on technical and commercial matters. Key Responsibilities

Meet or exceed sales budget for the territory. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors. Implement aggressive growth-driven programs with distribution. Work as a team with other account managers. Build relationships with all internal functional groups. Create, implement, and maintain a sales plan that meets or exceeds performance requirements. Know your products and channel/market/customer dynamics and drivers. Manage all facets of responsibilities within the framework of Corning’s values. Travel to the Greater Raleigh‑Durham area (RTP). Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel with some overnights needed. Territory geography: Greater Raleigh‑Durham and RTP area customers. Required Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree required; Life Sciences degree program preferred. Sales or relevant experience in the Life Sciences market. Proficient computer/data analysis skills (Microsoft Office 365, SFDC, PowerBI, etc.). Previous sales experience with a record of meeting or exceeding sales budget. Problem‑solving and conflict management skills. Business skills – financial analysis (sales analysis, trend reporting, usage reporting, pricing analysis). Desired Experience and Skills

Lab experience in Cell Culture and Molecular Biology. Experience with SalesForce.com or equivalent CRM. Knowledge of customer base in the territory. Proficient in distribution channel management. Soft Skills

Strong negotiation and presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, social and influencing skills. Organization, planning, and time‑management skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguity. Ability to manage remote networking and conferencing. Relationship building and adaptability to diverse situations and people. Creative promotional and account‑management approaches. Leadership and coaching abilities. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal direct supervision. This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $67,821.00–$93,255.00 assuming full‑time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
